The PB 2555 pinch bottomer processes flat and side-gusseted tubing into open-mouth pinch bottom sacks with an output of up to 250 bags/min. when operating in-line with a tuber. Tube lengths range between 17.72" (450 mm) and 51.18" (1300 mm) and tube widths between 7.87" (200 mm) and 23.03" (585 mm).
A high power ultrasonic mitered-corner sealing unit is available as an option. The bottomer is designed for hot-melt application on both sides and also for cold glue application at the factory end. Sift proof sack bottoms can be produced using a heat-seal station which can be integrated as an option. A reject gate, which rejects start-up waste as well as defective sacks during production, ensures trouble-free operation.
The PB 2555 pinch bottomer can be fitted with a feed section when operating off-line or with a turning/deviating station when operating in-line with a tuber. The bottomer is controlled by an industrial PC with decentralized input and output processors and fiber optic light bus communication for trouble-free operation and comprehensive remote diagnostic capability.
