The OPAL FFS machine has been specially designed to handle products which cannot be packaged using the standard drop-chute process.
An auger feed system is used for feeding the product. This allows for precisely controlled handling of very fine, dusty and fluidized products and products which tend to stick, bridge or clog. The product is fed into the bag from the bottom up which eliminates dust during the filling process. This gives the best protection against contamination in the sealing area of the sack mouth – essential for high strength top seals.
One special feature of the OPAL is the unobstructed access to the auger dosing assembly, achieved by offsetting the bag making and filling section of the machine – a major advantage when it comes to clean-up or product changeover.
OPAL optional equipment includes air evacuation system, mitered corner sealing and an explosion-proof package in full compliance with ATEX international standards. All of these options have proven successful on the many hundreds of FFS machines supplied globally by Windmöller & Hölscher. |
