It is the combination of ease of operation and
short change-over times that ensures efficient and profitable operation of
the tuber
also for short-run production. All settings are made from the
outside
with the machine running and with no parts needing to
be changed. The HSF
can also be integrated with existing production machines (e.g.
printing presses). To this end, the rewind unit of
the machine is moved by
a few meters to position the HSF module between it and the printing machine.
The HSF system typically comprises the following components:
- Unwind for the flat film web (available in various sizes
and with various automation levels)
- Optional printer (stack or C.I. with the required number
of colours)
- Embosser / vent hole perforator as an option
- HSF tube former
- Rewind (various winders of the FILMATIC
range
are available)
The production of FFS film from a flat web provides a number
of advantages
including: Increased efficiency of the extrusion
process, especially when
it comes to small sack dimensions, improved film strength through higher blow-up
ratios, no risk of damage to the folded edges, since the film is guided on
an air cushion while gusseting takes place. In this way film thickness
can
be reduced by up to 20% without sacrificing any of the
physical strength of
the sack. The result is a notably increased saving potential. In addition
to the standard material for heavy-duty
industrial sacks, the HSF also lends
itself to the processing of
high quality laminated materials such as for pet
food as well as animal feed packaging applications.
