With the continued trend towards smaller orders,
easy, fast and reliable job changes are a critical aspect and high printing
speeds become secondary and speeds of up to 1,300 ft/min. (400 m/min ) are
adequate.
The HELIOSTAR SL
and SH, supplied with up to 12 print stations and in printing widths of 31.5” –
51” (800 – 1,300 mm), have been specially developed to meet these needs. The HELIOSTAR
SL
has been designed with slide-in carts for conventional gravure cylinders while
the HELIOSTAR SH is designed for use with
hollow shells.
The modular design of the HELIOSTAR
allows customization
of the press with inline systems such as web turning stations,
specific dryers, inline laminating stations, alternative winders,
web paths and
pre-conditioning units.
Coating and registered cold seal applications can be done with ease while systems
for heavy coating application weights are
also available with a choice of single
or double hood dryers or
a Jumbo system using 3 or 4 drying hoods.
The HELIOSTAR S
can be supplied with shafted or shaftless winders to suit the materials to be printed,
with a maximum
available roll diameter of 51” (1,300 mm). The gravure printer is
faced with an ever increasing demand for customized short runs, with designs constantly
changing. Fast job change-overs are extremely important. The new W&H HELIOSTAR
S gives a competitive edge in the market place.
