The direct drive HELIOSTAR G
can be supplied for conventional gravure cylinders (type GE and
GL), hollow shells (type GH), or sleeves (type GS). One can choose
between two fast-change systems, either slide-in carts or cassettes.
With the hollow shell version, the cylinders are held by chucks. With its unique
concept, sleeve changes on the HELIOSTAR GS
are made without having
to remove the base cylinder from the machine.
The modular design concept of HELIOSTAR G
allows customization of the press to suit many applications:
- Choose the number of printing stations needed
- Preconditioning systems for different materials,
including paper, aluminium foil, films and carton
- Single- and double-hood drying systems and as well as
a special jumbo dryer
- Web turning assemblies for reverse printing
- In-line modulesfor coating, laminating and cold-seal
applications
The modern HELIOSTAR G
drive concept incorporates many advanced features including:
- High register accuracy during acceleration / deceleration
of the press and when handling thin films
- Good accessibility, also on the drive side of the press
- Short web paths, ensuring minimum waste during job changeovers
The HELIOSTAR G
can be equipped with EASY-SYNC for fast register pre-setting,
reducing waste to a minimum. Special inking rollers ensure perfect print quality
even at very high speeds.
Impression roller sleeves can be changed without influencing
web tension.
Doctor blade position and angle can be precisely adjusted for optimum print
results. The heavy duty construction
of the doctor blade assembly ensures
perfectly clean and
consistent print results with no marks or streaks.
