8-Color PRIMAFLEX
CM opens up a Whole New World
for Flexographic Packaging Company
LINCOLN, RI, March 2008 – Flexographic Packaging Company in Waupun,
WI, (FPC) started up
its new gearless 52” (1,320 mm) 8-color PRIMAFLEX
CM press in 2008 and has been going strong
ever since.
“It's like night and day. Since the press has been installed, our
print quality has greatly improved
and our waste minimized,” stated
Erik Blankenberg, Vice President and co-owner of FPC.
“We have had
customers come in for press checks and after seeing what we can now
do, gave
us additional business before they left.”
FPC expanded two years ago and invested in the PRIMAFLEX which provides
perfect print at higher
speed with much faster changeovers than their
older equipment. The PRIMAFLEX has a maximum printing width of 50”
(1,270 mm), print repeats from 14.5” to 31.5” (370 – 800 mm), with
production
of 1,000 fpm (300 m/min). Equipped with the EASY-SET fully automatic
impression setting system
and EASY-REG automatic registration system,
the press has reduced waste and increased FPC's
production capability
while enabling the company to service smaller accounts much more efficiently.
