Next Generation
Films, Inc. purchases a 3rd W&H
3-layer VAREX Blown Film Extrusion Line
New line will further enhance their diverse capabilities
LINCOLN, RI, January 2008 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation
announces the sale of a 87”
(2200 mm) 3-layer VAREX blown film extrusion line to repeat customer
Next Generation Films,
Inc.
of Lexington, OH. The company has ordered the new high-output
extrusion line to further enhance
its already diverse capabilities.
The line will be shipped to the company’s Lexington plant in
early summer 2008 and be operational approximately six weeks later.
Next Generation Films installed its first W&H blown film line – also
a 3-layer VAREX – back in 2001.
After experimenting with
technology from other suppliers, the decision to invest in a 2nd
VAREX
extrusion
line marked the company’s return
to W&H as its blown film equipment supplier.
Shortly after
the successful start-up of that line in early fall 2007, the 126” 3-layer
blown film extrusion
was already pushing through over 2,100 lbs/hr
of high-quality film, with gauge variation below 4% and layflat control
so tight that Next Generation Films is able to run absolutely trimless.
Next Generation Films was founded in 1994 and is a supplier of
specialty films to a variety of markets, including food packaging,
automobile, courier, manufactured housing and protective packaging
segments. They are now the largest film producer in Ohio,
with a quickly growing blown film plant that now boasts 21 lines.
Windmoeller & Hoelscher is a leader in the design, manufacture
and distribution of flexographic and gravure printing presses,
blown and cast film extrusion systems, multiwall equipment, plastic
sack and bag making machines, as well as form-fill-seal machinery
for the converting and packaging industry. |
