Sunshine Plastics to Install W&H’s
PRIMAFLEX CM flexographic printing press
W&H’s focus on quality and support are deciding factors
for this new customer.
LINCOLN, RI, August 2007 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation announces the sale
of a
10-color 52” (1,320 mm) PRIMAFLEX CM flexographic press to new customer Sunshine
Plastics,
Inc. of Montebello, CA. The press is expected to be fully operational come early 2008.
When deciding on a press manufacturer, Sunshine Plastics focused its criteria on
machine quality
and service. “We built our foundation on quality and service,” explains James Chuang,

Sunshine Plastics specializes in food packaging and has recently enjoyed growth in
such markets as snack foods, produce, frozen foods, pet foods, bakery and lawn & garden.
Therefore, it was necessary
for the company to expand capacity and increase efficiency
to meet its customers’ growing demands. Sunshine is a vertically integrated manufacturer
that extrudes film, prints, laminates, as well as converts bags, pouches and laser
micro perforated products.
The PRIMAFLEX CM purchased by Sunshine Plastics, Inc. includes 10 color decks, a
maximum
printing width of 50” (1,270 mm), and print repeats ranging from 14.5” – 31.5” (370 – 800
mm). The
press also features W&H’s EASY-SET fully automatic impression setting system
in conjunction with EASY-REG, the recently introduced automatic register setup system.
