LINCOLN, RI, August 2007 – W&H will stage two events for
this year’s K-show to highlight the latest developments in printing,
extrusion and converting technology. In Duesseldorf, the company
will demonstrate a 3-layer blown film extrusion line, along with a
heat-seal machine for the production
of handle carrier bags. At its
global headquarters, just 1.5 hours away in Lengerich, W&H will
stage
an In-house exhibition featuring demonstrations from three blown
film lines, one cast film line, three flexographic presses, one rotogravure
press and one film sealing machine.

line: On
the booth, W&H will run a 63” (1,600 mm) 3-layer
VAREX blown
film line featuring a 70/90/70 mm extruder layout. The line
will be
equipped with the new MAXICONE C die and FILMATIC S
surface winder.
- POLYREX Heat-seal machine: Also
on display, W&H’s POLYREX BV-Servo
heat-seal
machine for the production of patch reinforced handgrip carrier
bags.

diameter.
- FILMEX : High-output
cast film extrusion line with a working width of 94.5” (2400
mm) for the production of CPP and barrier films up to 9 layers.
- ASTRAFLEX : 8-color flexo
press (featuring 62”/ 1.57 m print widths) will highlight
sleeve change-over using PORTALIFT, automatic impression setting
with EASY-SET, and a
non-stop job change-over.
- NOVOFLEX : 10-color NOVOFLEX C
flexo press (featuring 51”/ 1.30 m print widths)
will highlight
sleeve change-over using PORT-A-SLEEVE, automatic impression
setting
with EASY-SET, and a print change-over.
- PRIMAFLEX : 8-color PRIMAFLEX CM
flexo press (featuring 50”/ 1.27 m print widths)
will demonstrate
a job change-over.
- HELIOSTAR : 8-color HELIOSTAR G
gravure press with slide-in cart, cassette, and sleeve technology,
designed for high printing speeds, in-line lamination, and fast
job change-overs (using RSP and PMR PLUS).
- POLYREX SF-Servo: Film sealing machine
for the production of loop handle carrier bags.
