Global Packaging to Install its 2nd W&H
flexographic press: an 8-color PRIMAFLEX CM
Decision to invest in second press was based on strength in Global’s
existing relationship
with W&H.
LINCOLN, RI, May 2007 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation
announces the sale of a 52”
(1,320 mm) 8-color PRIMAFLEX CM
printing press to Global Packaging of Oaks, PA. The press
will be shipped in June of this year to the company’s Oaks,
PA facility for installation this summer. This will be Global’s
second W&H flexographic press, after the installation of a 10-color
NOVOFLEX CM in 2004.
According to company President, Michael Frost, Global’s investment
in the 8-color PRIMAFLEX will add significantly more printing
capacity to its current manufacturing operations. “We
have always purchased the best printing equipment available in the
marketplace, and the PRIMAFLEX is a continuation of this
approach,” he explains. “The press is a natural addition
to our line up of high quality printing equipment."
Frost further explains that Global Packaging’s decision to invest
in the PRIMAFLEX was based on
the strength of the company’s
existing relationship with W&H and because the press’s design
and functionality met Global’s job requirements. “The
press is designed to print top quality product at high
line speeds,
while also allowing for fast job changeovers. This will help
Global Packaging fulfill our commitment to our customers to consistently
deliver high quality printed packaging with excellent lead times."

up
to 1300 fpm (400 m/min) and print repeats range from 14.5” – 31.5” (370 – 800
mm). The press also features W&H’s TURBOCLEAN 600A
