Flexographic Packaging Company to Install W&H’s 8-color
PRIMAFLEX CM
The new PRIMAFLEX will enable FPC to grow its customer
base and take on larger and more challenging print jobs.
LINCOLN, RI, March 2007 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation
announces the sale of a 52”
(1,320 mm) 8-color PRIMAFLEX CM
printing press to first-time customer, Flexographic Packaging Company
(FPC), of Waupun, WI. The press will be shipped to the customer’s
Waupun facility in September 2007 for installation this fall.
FPC’s President, David Puente, explains that the company is
focused on supporting the smaller
accounts which large suppliers might
pass up. The new PRIMAFLEX will
allow FPC to serve more customers with the capabilities of this press. “We
have more and more requests for process work to be done, and this press
will allow us to do the quality process work that will enable us to
compete with the market,” he mentions. “With the
gearless PRIMAFLEX we
will be able to achieve almost any repeat requested by the customer."
Flexographic Packaging Company “a member of the minority business
development” has been doing custom printing, laminating and converting
packaging materials since 1995. The new press will be running
a wide range of substrates, including PET, met pet, Poly prop, nylon,
and paper for the food industry and other packaging needs.
“We decided on a W&H press because the company has one of
the best reputations out there for flexo presses, and we feel W&H
has a good customer service and support department,” Mr. Puente
remarks.
The PRIMAFLEX CM purchased by Flexographic Packaging Company features
8 color decks,
a maximum material width of 52” (1,320 mm) and
a maximum printing width of 50” (1,270 mm).
Production
speeds measure up to 1000 fpm (300 m/min) and print repeats range from
14.5” – 31.5”
(370 – 800 mm). The press
also features W&H’s EASY-SET fully automatic impression setting
system
in conjunction with EASY-REG, the recently introduced automatic
register setup system.
