Admiral Packaging to Install W&H’s NOVOFLEX CM
Flexographic Printing Press
Company sees W&H equipment as offering best ROI.
LINCOLN, RI, December 2006 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher
Corporation announces the sale of a 59” NOVOFLEX CM 10-color
flexo press to Admiral Packaging, Inc. (formerly Union Industries,
Inc.) of Providence, RI. The press will be shipped to the customer’s
Providence facility in July 2007 for
installation in August of next
year. A long-standing W&H customer, Admiral Packaging purchased
its
first W&H press back in 1982. The NOVOFLEX CM represents
the company’s 7th investment in W&H equipment.

Admiral Packaging is a family-owned and operated business providing
flexible packaging to companies in a wide spectrum of markets, including:
frozen foods, seafood, consumer products, industrial products, product
sampling, direct mail, and more. Founded in 1898 as Union Paper Company,
the company initially was a supplier of paper and stationery products.
In 1953, it started converting plastics into
finished products and
soon after added printing capabilities. Today, Admiral Packaging is
led by the
fourth generation Frank family and occupies a 220,000 sq.
ft. (20,438 m²) complex headquartered in Providence, Rhode Island.
The 59” NOVOFLEX CM sold to Admiral Packaging, Inc. features
10-color decks with a maximum printing width of 57” (1450 mm)
and a repeat range of 15.75” – 34.5” (400 – 880
mm). The press is equipped with W&H’s latest generation TURBOCLEAN 600
A inking and automatic wash-up system. Also featured is W&H’s
EASY-SET fully automatic impression setting system and the newly introduced
EASY-REG system for fast, automatic register adjustment of printing
decks.
