W&H Corporation Announces Strategy to Increase Presence in
North American
Gravure Market
LINCOLN, RI, August 2006 – In response to an upward tick in demand for the
HELIOSTAR G
rotogravure press, W&H Corporation has taken several steps
to strengthen its presence in the
North American Gravure market. The HELIOSTAR G
is the company’s latest generation direct
drive gravure press. It was first
introduced to the market at DRUPA 2004. To-date, W&H has sold
more than 20
of these high-tech presses worldwide, including 3 in the U.S.
W&H Corporation’s first move has been to name Heine Heininga as Sales
Manager – Gravure
Printing Presses. While still remaining WHC’s Sales
Manager for Multiwall Equipment, Heine is
now also responsible for sales of the
HELIOSTAR G in the North American market.
In addition, W&H Corporation has become an official member of the PLGA (Packaging
and
Label Gravure Association). The PLGA was established to advance the technology
and utilization
of gravure printing in such areas as folding cartons, flexible
packaging and label printing.
W&H will be attending the PLGA’s Fall Technical Conference from September
27 – 29, 2006 at
the Omni Hotel in Charlotte, NC. Hans Deamer, W&H Corporation’s
President, and Heine Heininga, WHC’s Sales Manager – Gravure Presses,
will give a thorough profile of the HELIOSTAR G and
be available to answer
any questions during the conference’s exhibition period.
