The Robinette Company to Install its 2nd W&H NOVOFLEX C Flexo Press
After purchasing a NOVOFLEX CL last year, Robinette
this time opts for the NOVOFLEX CM.
LINCOLN, RI, August 2006 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher
Corporation announces the sale of a 53” NOVOFLEX CM
10-color flexo press to the Robinette Company of Bristol, TN.
The press will be
shipped to the customer’s Bristolplant
in October for installation in November of this year.
Robinette decided to invest in a second NOVOFLEX press
because it is in need of additional capacity as it continues making
inroads in the flexible packaging markets. According to Bristol, TN
Facility Plant Manager, Gil Graham, “We are investing in new
printing equipment as part of our plan to create one of
the most modern
flexiblepackaging plants in the country.”
Last September, Robinette installed its first W&H press, the
NOVOFLEX CL, with much success,
“The press is performing
as promised, and the service shown both during installation and
afterwards
has been world class.” Pleased with both the
CL press and W&H, Robinette considers the purchase
of second
NOVOFLEX press
to be a ‘natural progression’ as
it looked ahead for additional printing capacity. This fall the
company will welcome a NOVOFLEX CM to its Bristol facility.
“We feel a CM press is a perfect compliment to our existing
CL,” explains Graham. “The CL offers a
larger repeat
range (49”), allowing us to compete in markets that were
once closed. Now, having a
CM repeat range (34.5”) fits
our current product mix perfectly.”
The Robinette Company was established in 1987, but traces its
roots back to 1938 when Judge Robinette began printing and converting
small paper bags to supply the flour and corn millers of the Eastern
U.S. Today, the Robinette Company is a full-service flexible packaging
and specialty converting manufacturer committed to serving the
food, beverage, construction, textile and health care markets.
The 53” NOVOFLEX CM
sold to Robinette has a max. repeat length of 34.5” and is equipped
with
the EASY-SET fully
automatic impression setting system; PORT-A-SLEEVE sleeve handling
system
to facilitate fast and easy changing of plate cylinder
and anilox roll sleeves; and TURBOCLEAN fully automatic ink
supply and wash-up system. Capacity on the new press will be allocated
towards
high-end flexo printing for laminated substrates such
as roll stock, pouches and heat shrink.
The NOVOFLEX CM
and NOVOFLEX CL
printing presses make up W&H’s NOVOFLEX C
series
–
the latest generation of sleeved, direct drive, CI flexo presses.
These presses are designed for both wider printing widths and increased
repeat lengths, allowing customers to choose between W&H’s
wide web cylinder technology or wide web sleeve technology. The NOVOFLEX CM
is available in 8 or 10 colors with repeat lengths of 49” and
34.5” respectively. The NOVOFLEX CL
is a 10-color press with max. repeats of 49”. Both presses
have printing widths of 35” – 87” and a max.
line speed of 2000 fpm.
