C-P Flexible Packaging to Install
W&H’s PRIMAFLEX CM
The versatility of the PRIMAFLEX CM press will
enable C-P Flexible Packaging
to
increase 8-color press capacity and also
add new capabilities for 10-color printing.
LINCOLN, RI, May 2006 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation
announces the sale of an 8+2-color
40” PRIMAFLEX CM printing
press to first-time customer, C-P Flexible Packaging of York, PA.
The
press will be shipped to the customer’s York plant in September
for installation in October of this year.
What impressed C-P Flexible Packaging most about W&H’s
equipment was, “we felt W&H had the
best combination of
press technology – highlighted by their EASY-SET automatic impression
setting capabilities – ease of use design, and competitive pricing,” as
explained by company Vice-President
of Manufacturing, Greg Collins.
C-P Flexible Packaging decided to go with W&H’s PRIMAFLEX CM
press largely in part due to its
8+2-color configuration. “This
press is replacing an existing 6-color press,” states Collins, “we
wanted
to add additional 8-color press capacity for our existing markets
while adding new capabilities for
10-color and backside printing.”
An 8+2-color printing press incorporates 8 color decks plus 2 down
stream flexo units. When used in such a configuration, the material
can be printed in 8-colors on one side and simultaneously printed
in 2-colors on the front or backside of web.
According to Collins, “The versatility of the downstream flexo
design allows us both the ability to print
up to 10 colors or in-register
backside printing. This will compliment our existing markets in high-end
process printing for flexible packaging and label markets.”
C-P Flexible Packaging started business in 1959 and today supplies
flexible packaging, shrink sleeve, and roll fed labels to numerous
markets including snacks, bakery, candy, pasta, nuts, coffee, lawn
and garden, trading cards, health care, and fragrance packaging. C-P

printing.
W&H’s 8-color PRIMAFLEX CM is available in printing
widths of 31.5”, 40" and 50" and features a maximum
repeat length of 31.5". Production speeds measure up to 1000
fpm, and also come with
an option of 1300 fpm.
