ISO Poly Films Invests in 7-layer
VAREX Blown Film Line from W&H
Purchase marks ISO Poly’s 4th W&H extrusion
line
LINCOLN, RI, March 2006 – Windmoeller & Hoelscher Corporation
announces the sale of a 7-layer VAREX barrier film line to ISO
Poly Films, Inc. of Gray Court, South Carolina. The line will
be installed
in September, becoming the 4th W&H extrusion
line in ISO Poly’s plant and the first of six planned
high
barrier lines. In addition, the 7-layer is equipped with W&H’s
new FILMATIC TX
dual turret winder – the first TX winder sold in North America.
Founded in 1998, ISO Poly Films is a high-quality specialty film
manufacturer, dedicated to meeting the critical needs of the laminating,
printing, coating and converting markets. Just last year, the
company began a $25 million expansion to more than double the
size of its Gray Court facility, as well as increase capacity
for superior quality film production. The expansion will allow
ISO Poly to continue its growth in high-end multilayer film for
the medical and food products industries.

The 7-layer VAREX blown film line purchased by ISO Poly Films,
Inc. features the MAXICONE
multi-layer die for 7-layer barrier
film and the OPTIFIL P2 system for thermal gauge profile control.
The line also is equipped with W&H’s new FILMATIC TX
dual turret winder. The FILMATIC TX is capable of a roll diameter
measuring up to 47”, features adhesive-free web transfer
on changeover
and offers center, gap and reverse winding capabilities.
The TX winder sold to ISO Poly Films has a
roll diameter of 40” and
will be installed in a face-to-face configuration.
