Next Generation Films Orders 6th VAREX
Co-extrusion Line from Windmoeller & Hoelscher

LINCOLN, RI – While awaiting the arrival of a new 3-layer VAREX co-extrusion line from
Windmoeller & Hoelscher, Next Generation Films in Lexington, OH, has placed an order for
another VAREX line. This marks Next Generation's 6th investment in W&H machinery, and
the 3rdin the past year alone.

Steady growth has led Next Generation to continue investing in capital equipment. Both
new high-output VAREX lines have grooved feed extruders (105.30/135.30/105.30D),
a 35” OPTIFIL P2 die, and FILMATIC T dual turret winder.

These lines will add more than 50 million pounds of capacity per year, all of which has been
presold for the production of custom films.

Last year, Next Generation boasted $100 million in annual sales, with the goal of doubling that
figure within the next five years. According to Dave Frecka, who founded the company in 1994, it
is on it's way to reaching that goal ahead of schedule.

Frecka is a strong proponent of minimizing the company's carbon footprint. He has erected a
wind turbine and recycling center on the company campus. His patent pending nano-technology
helps the company develop strong 3-layer films with minimal materials.

Next Generation Films, Inc. was founded in 1994 and is a supplier of specialty films to a variety of
markets, including the food packaging, automobile, courier, manufactured housing and protective
packaging segments. They are now the largest film producer in Ohio, with a quickly growing
blown film plant that now boasts 24 lines. (www.nextgeneration.com)
