LINCOLN, RI, March 2008 – At Interpack
2008, Windmoeller & Hoelscher will present a completely revised
and expanded range of FFS (Form-Fill-Seal) machines that includes four
different types and outputs of up to 2,200 sacks/h. Another
highlight will be the world premiere of the new MIRAFLEX C central
impression flexographic printing press.
Windmoeller & Hoelscher's recent innovations in the FFS sector are
significant. The latest generation high-performance DIAMANT features
all-new drive technology and a newly developed weighing scale. Designed
for very high bagging speeds and equipped with a rotary filling section,
the DIAMANT is ideal for consistent and continuous operation,
as required in the petro-chemical industry, for example. In Duesseldorf,
the DIAMANT will be shown in combination with an automatic roll change
system.
The OPAL , a new machine in Windmoeller & Hoelscher's FFS sales
program, will make its debut
at Interpack. Designed to handle extremely
fine and dusty products as well as heavy-flowing products,
such as those
used in the chemical and construction industries, it incorporates an air
evacuation
system (patent pending) that ensures controlled bagging with
minimum entrapped air, so the OPAL
can bag products previously not
possible with FFS technology.
Two different models of the TOPAS ,
the third gem in W&H's
FFS product range, will also be presented live in Duesseldorf. One
TOPAS will
feature a handle die-cutter and edge sealing for the bagging of consumer
products, while the second TOPAS will
be shown with an automatic palletizer.
For plants that do not require high-output FFS bagging machines, Windmoeller & Hoelscher
will present its redesigned RUBIN machine for the bagging
of free-flowing products. With a maximum bagging speed of 400 sacks/h
and equipped with features and components that have been field-proven
in more than one hundred Windmoeller & Hoelscher's FFS machines
worldwide, the RUBIN is an economical and reliable machine for lower
output applications and is an ideal first step from manual to automatic
bagging. It is also the perfect supplement to a plant's FFS
equipment, offering economical and continuous bagging for all order sizes.
W&H will also debut the MIRAFLEX C at Interpack, a brand-new central
impression flexographic printing press which is designed specifically
to fit the core segment of CI flexo printing applications in terms
of
repeat length, printing width and output. Ease of operation, extensive
automation and detail improvements, such as sleeve-type nip rolls and
light-weight doctor blade chambers, highlight this
new development. The
MIRAFLEX C is available with 8 or 10 color decks and printing widths
of 39” to
57” and is capable of high-quality printing on
plastic film, paper, aluminum foil, and laminates.
Windmoeller & Hoelscher is a leader in the design, manufacture and
distribution of flexographic and gravure printing presses, blown and cast
film extrusion systems, multiwall equipment, plastic sack and bag making
machines, as well as form-fill-seal machinery for the converting and packaging
industry. |
